There are certain moments in golf that just feel bigger than the scorecard. A tour stop at the SAS Championship was one of them.

A huge congratulations goes out to Alex Cejka, who finally crossed the finish line with his first Champions Tour regular-season event win.

If you’ve been following his journey like I have, you know this wasn’t just another tournament victory. Cejka has stormed onto the Champions Tour in recent seasons, capturing three senior major titles, proving that experience and resilience can be just as dangerous as raw power. But despite that major success, one thing was still missing — a standard tour event win. That box is now officially checked. Cejka’s fourth win comes at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 10 days.

What made the moment even more special was the post-round interview. It was emotional, real, and honest — the kind of reaction that reminds us how long and winding a career in professional golf can be. Battling through injuries, tour changes, life adjustments, and the constant fight to stay competitive, Cejka’s win felt like one earned through persistence and belief.

And let’s not overlook the man on the bag: Tom Janis (TJ), Cejka’s long-time caddie from his PGA Tour days. After years of grinding together across courses around the world, seeing them share this victory again — on this stage — just felt right. Golf is rarely an individual journey, and this win was a celebration for both.

So here’s to Alex and TJ — a golfer and caddie duo who kept going, kept believing, and just proved that some stories are worth the wait.

Cheers to them both.
